I didn’t go looking to be a Councillor. I got fed up of nobody speaking up for my area of Ashton. I was involved in all kinds of community projects and so decided to stand for election. I was elected in 2003 for 4 years and again in 2007 for another 4 years.
hi ellie … i didnt set out to be councillor, but have been one for almost eight years. It is hard at times, but rewarding. the hardest has been since being on Im a councillor 😉 evne though i have enjoyed it. Gary.
