Question: If something like this came around again next year would you voulunteer for it again? What do you think is the most important thing you have taken from this experience?

I have done this twice before and was happy to volunteer again this year. I do take time out to listen to students and our teenagers as I’m interested in your views. I also did voluntary youth work for over 25 years so I have a good track record in dealing with young people.
Don’t underestimate our young citizens is what I will take away. Great question!

Hello again izzy … i have really enjoyed the experience of speaking to people like yourself. It has given me an insight into the minds of young people of all ages with the very topical questions, thoughts and ideas about where they live – judging by the questions i have answered here and in the chat rooms.

It proves that the younger generation do care about their surroundings and their community, despite some of the bad press they get sometimes; which is unjustified. Thank you for another good question. Gary.
