Question: hi my cousin lives in ashton and says the waterworks (bmx park) is a very good site for bmxing but also says there are loads of teenagers that go and hog the bmx jumps so he barely gets to go on them how can we improve that thanks

Hi livy,
Yes I have seen Waterworks, its a great bmx park designed and made by the kids; sadly this ins’t in Wigan, it’s near Haydock Racecourse and the land isn’t council owned either.

I have been working with a charity to bring the mobile skate board park back to Ashton . This is the only way we can improve on what we have at the moment. We are trying to improve the facility in Ashton to make it bigger and better and we plan to have a Graffitti Artist in to have it painted, hopefully everybody will get involved; we do need more skate parks all around Wigan and Leigh.
