I enjoy being a Councillor because I can help people sort their problems out. I have helped with lots of community activities and events which has been very much appreciated. I introduced the Christmas celebrations in Ashton which everyone enjoys and of course the usual work in dealing with complaints. Its a wide range of things, but its great!!

I am already a Councillor. I wanted to be a Councillor because I didn’t like the fact that the Council ignored the area where I lived.

    Hi Jassa01,
I wanted to help my Community and to make my area better for my family, friends and the people of Bryn.
I did not set out to become a Councillor, it happened by accident really, i find helping people who need my help very rewarding.
I help all walks of the Community, for example the elderly person they might have a problem with a tree in their back garden which needs to be removed. I had a young boy in my surgery once who wanted to get a bus pass and he came to see me to get help, his mum did not know he was coming and when I rang her for more details she was shocked that her son came to talk to me, but i did help them.
    Regards
    Gary
